Please tell us something unique about you we can’t learn from your bio.

I have a Masters Degree in Art History and studied in Paris *mumbles into hand* years ago.

What inspired you to write romance fiction?

All the characters in my head, plus, I love writing happily ever afters.

What’s your research process?

When I start a new project, I usually take several weeks to just research. I start by perusing my bookshelf and looking through class notes. I keep a journal and record sources, character descriptions, inspirations, story ideas…all sorts of things. I usually get sidetracked along the way and spend way too much time reading instead of researching for my story.

Which of your heroes would you most like to date and why?

The hero in my current WIP, Captain Grant Alexander. He has a good heart, is compassionate and caring, intelligent, and really handsome. Plus, he’s a good kisser 😉

Do you have any plans to branch out into other genres?

For NaNoWriMo this year, I decided to branch outside my comfort zone and write contemporary. I am still working on the story, so we’ll see what happens.

Alanna Lucas is a historical romance author, who loves writing historical romance just as much as she loves reading them. When not daydreaming of her next hero, Alanna can be found reading, spending time with family, or plotting her next travel destination.

In 2013 Alanna won Boroughs Publishing Group’s ‘What’s in a Name’ contest. The guideline was to take the title of a song that inspired you and adopt it as the title of your story. “Face to Face” by Siouxsie and the Banshees was the inspiration for the novella.

Alanna is a member of the Romance Writers of America, East Valley Authors, The Beau Monde, and Celtic Hearts Romance Writers. She has served as a committee member and judge in numerous writing contests.
