With May just days away, it’s time to think about what spring means. To me, it signifies new beginnings.

Today, my latest sizzling romance hits the virtual shelves. The Mortal Falls emerged out of a short story I wrote, The Falls, published in December 2013. I loved the characters so much that I just had to give Lindsey and Nevan the full-novel treatment. To celebrate today’s release of The Mortal Falls, I present my playlist for this book. Writing romance novels is like having Valentine’s Day all year long. I celebrate love every single day, with every story I craft and every hero and heroine I create, every moment I spend figuring out how to draw two people together through passion and emotion.

I’ve always loved reading romance. I remember swapping book covers when I was a girl to hide what I was reading. My first ‘grown-up’ book was a Phyllis Whitney novel, The Turquoise Mask, my mom let me read when I was eleven. After that I read anything I could find by Whitney, Mary Stuart, Victoria Holt, and others. I was hooked on the romantic mystery genre that I still read today.
