I really, really like forks. That’s…unique, I know. There’s something about a fork that I find oddly beautiful. Some of those old ones are exquisitely formed and I have a lot of fun rummaging through the cutlery tub in Op Shops (Thrift Stores) in search of the perfect fork.

I’ve always loved reading romance. I remember swapping book covers when I was a girl to hide what I was reading. My first ‘grown-up’ book was a Phyllis Whitney novel, The Turquoise Mask, my mom let me read when I was eleven. After that I read anything I could find by Whitney, Mary Stuart, Victoria Holt, and others. I was hooked on the romantic mystery genre that I still read today.

I don’t tell too many people this because they get a little leery, but I am an incredible mimic. I can be with a person for an hour and have their speech cadence, verbal intonations, physical habits, and dialect pretty much nailed by the end of that time.
